Wixom lake is local favorite and even after several months time,  it remains empty.

In the midst of the disappointment from land owners and businesses, there have been a few small highlights like the revealing and removal of a 100-year-old steam shovel from the bottom of the (now dry) lake.

The repairs and damages are still currently under investigation after several lawsuits have been filed.
