Spring Testing Info 2023

With the rest of April fast approaching, it’s time for some debriefing on this year’s (P)SAT testing, and how to show up prepared.

 

Test-related meetings will begin on the first week of April following spring break (week of 4/3)

  • 11th grade Juniors: Cougar Hour, Tuesday
  • 10th grade Sophomores: 2nd hour, Wednesday
  • 9th grade Freshmen: 5th hour, Wednesday
  • Make-ups, and OSTC AM, Novi Virtual: 5th hour, Thursday

Testing will take place beginning April 12. Seating for tests will begin at the standard school opening time 7:20 am.

Wednesday, 4/12

11th grade Juniors– SAT + Essay: Wednesday, Meet in the Commons; Testing rooms on 3rd floor.

10th grade Sophomores– PSAT: Wednesday, Meet in the Gym Multipurpose Room; Testing in the Gym.

(all others=no school)

Thursday, 4/13

11th grade Juniors– ACT Work Keys: Thursday, Meet in the Commons; Testing rooms on 3rd floor.

9th grade Freshmen– PSAT: Thursday, Meet in the Gym Multipurpose Room; Testing in the Gym.

Seniors– Service opportunity (submit permission slips by 4/6)

(10th grade= no school)

 

As for rules and expectations regarding test days, they are unchanged from the last session.

Bring:

  • Student ID or State Drivers License (must have photo)

  • A #2 testing pencil (extra if needed)

  • District calculator* or testing-approved calculator

*If you don’t have a district or otherwise approved calculator, they are available in the media center for rental (prior to testing day) with your Student ID. Extra batteries are not provided.

Don’t bring (leave outside your testing area):

  • Any food or drink

  • Jackets, hoodies, coats, etc. (NO POCKETS!)

  • Phones or any kind of watch
