Win the War of spare change and help change disabled students’ lives for the better in the end-of-semester classroom contest. Participating 4th hour teachers will be receiving jars to be filled by pennies, dollars, or other currencies until the end of Thursday. The contents of each jar will be counted for points, then donated to Miracle League at Friday’s basketball game.
Miracle League is an organization dedicated to providing support for the athletic-bound disabled. East Boys’ Basketball has chosen to sponsor the League for the Friday basketball charity game @ 7 p.m. in the main gym, with hopes that more people will be able to play and enjoy the sport.
If your 4th hour teacher has chosen to participate in the Penny Wars, you’re in the competition for a second semester pizza party. Native pennies can be donated to ANY classroom jar for points, or paper bills can be donated to deny points. Below is a chart detailing the value of contribution:
OSTC, or 4th hour teacher isn’t participating? Don’t worry! You can still donate pennies to a friend’s class–or dollars to a foe’s class–and attempt to sway the results. All funds will be appreciated by Miracle League regardless.
