South Lyon East’s football team is off to a winning start this year. The boys have played three games in the 2018 season. They have won two and lost one in a close match up against Traverse City Central last Friday night.

So far this season, the Cougars have offensively put up a total of 89 points and have only let up a total of 14 points.

The team has six more games.

Senior Student Section Leader Kaitlin Ruschak said, “I think we’ll win against old [South Lyon], or at-least it will be a very good game.” She also thinks the next couple of games will be challenging for the Cougars.

Senior Student Section Leader Nick Harvath said, “The games went pretty well, offense and defense is just killing it with two shut outs, back to back.”

The student section this year has shown up to support the boys.

Senior player Logan Suriano said, “It’s absolutely great having the student section buzzing. It’s a nice change from last year and the boys are loving the support.”

The section leaders have created themes for each game. If you would like to see the schedule or see the themes  click here
